Things for us to beat florida

1. Must run the ball and minimize turnovers no fumbling or forcing throws.

2. Win the kicking game and field position.

3. Block to give bray time and block and knock your gator on their butt during a run everytime.

Those three things worry me more about this game than
anything else.

score more points to win.

i think if we score first and can get up by 17 or more we will win.

Well be fine. Kicking game does worry me though. I hope it doesn't cost us the game.

I don't think we have to run the ball for 150 to beat Florida. I think 75 to 100 yards would be more than enough. I think we beat Florida by being aggressive on offense. Play to our strength which is the big play in the passing game. On defense we just have to make UF earn everything. Don't give up cheap points on busted plays (which could be a problem based on the first couple of games). I don't believe that UF can consistently drive the ball down the field. On Special Teams...just don't make big mistakes...turnovers or give up big returns. For the first time in forever we don't have to play perfect or over our heads to beat Florida. We just must avoid beating ourselves.

Ummmmmm, k. I'm not trying to be a smartazz, well, maybe just a little, but it's all in good fun.

These three points are keys to winning any game, not just Florduh. But hey, look at this way, John Madden would be proud of this very correct analysis. :good!:

Biggest thing for me is Bray getting it off quick. FL will come after him and he will have to make quick decisions

So let me see if I follow. If we don't turn the ball over, we run the ball effectively, and we out score Florida we win? Amazing. Someone get this to Dooley ASAP.

Wildcat was nice change of pace tonight. Wonder if we use it against, Fla will deffently have to plan for it.

Florida is Florida but I think if we limit the big plays against us on defense we will shut their offense down. Offensively, we will get ours.

Florida's to lose. Even with UF struggling they still have to much talent to lose this one.

All I can say is this offense has been completely vanilla and still putting up points! The defense will be MUCH improved with big Herm and Curt being back. Those two sitting hurt us today.

Just looked at the box score and stats for today's game with A&M. Not that impressive. net rushing 165 passing about 150. Third down conversions only 3 of 12 Took 8 sacks.

Bray, Hunter, and Patterson would all start at Florida. The rest of UF is very talented, but I'm not seeing how this can be seen as Florida's to lose.

You shouldn't be trying to reason with a UK fan. It's like trying to have a conversation with a concrete block.

The vols dont need a bunch of rushing yards to beat the gators and probaly wont get alot.Fl is good vs the run but not very good with the pass.Fl secondary isnt very good.The key will be picking up the blitz and Bray making smart reads because they are going to bring the house alot.Bray will pick them apart if giving time and they know it.Neither Fl qb can pass very well so if we get up much at all they are in big trouble.Go Vols
