"They should hang the alumni that fired Fulmer in the first place!"

Fulmer and Third and Chavis would have lost the game today. Too conservative.

Should have lit a match and floored it. Knoxville area IQ spike!

We won, people...

Wouldn't you feel more comfortable is UT was the one with 544 Offensive yards against 287 for them?

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's really hard to feel good about your team when you got beat, handily, by a s#&tty team in your own house in every category except, thankfully, for the scoreboard.

I don't believe in moral victories or immoral wins. A loss is just that and a win is, as well.

The only category that matters.

Let it go.

I talked with a friend about this walking back from the game.

What you have are two groups of fans:

One group that attends when the team is up. Tickets are in demand, and the price is high. They might not fully understand the game, but they've been around it long enough to understand the ups-and-downs that are football.

The other group thrives when the team is down. Tickets are affordable (see: almost free). They can afford to show up in force, whine and moan, and leave early complaining about what they coulda done had de coach left 'em in for that there '88 state championship game. These are the guys that yell and complain asking why a quarterback running from a DE didn't throw it across his body to the other side of the field without looking. This isn't NCAA 1999 on Playstation, but it may as well be. This is the insufferable group that we must deal with while we rebuild.

I still say its time to round up a posse and go to every Fulmerite's home, drag them outside and beat them with sticks. They and the Good Ole Boy's Club are responsible for our demise.

I picked up my wife at BNA today and heard someone say Dooley wouldn't make it two years here. I wanted to tell them how much of a mistake it would be to get rid of him. I think it may take a year or five, but Dooley is choppin the wood to heat things back up.

I also wanted to address the comments that if Fulmer was still here things would look better. I believe the only way things look better is in terms or having 85 players on scholarship, but instead on 1s and 3s we would have a team of 2s and 3s. Fulmer is a hall of fame coach, but the program was heading down hill, and now we are starting a climb back up.
