Woodsons Heisman lock play was the punt return against Ohio State...... a play that Michigan commited a hold and a clip on, but Big Ten refs were hungry to help Woodson and scUM get something...without that return that shouldnt have been Ohio State wins 14-10, Nebraska dont get screwed by the AP and Peyton wins the Heisman, blame the Michigan homer ref crew, who subsequently all 6 are banned from officiating OSU games now and have been since 97......

Ok. Now we have the ref's thrown in on this one too.

It's ABC's/ESPN fault for overhyping Peyton throughout the season.

ESPN's/ABC's fault for showing Woodson's game breaking plays repeatedly. Including the punt return that sent them to the national championship.

....and the ref's fault for looking the other way on a punt return. So that the big ten could "get something."


Anybody got anything else to add?

As far as the punt return goes, when is there not some kind of illegal infraction going on during a kick return? Deaf, Dumb and Blind ref's are a part of the game.... it sucks, but those are the breaks. If the corruption of that game was that blatant then they should be in prison. The big ten sucks on principle for not having a CCG but that's another discussion.

Clemson has fallen off a bit the last decade or so.....however they still have more wins than the gators all time, actually have an undefeated season, unlike the gators, and have won a real outright National Title when they actually belonged in said Title game, none of UF's 3 titles are legit in my mind, because they got lucky someone who was undefeated lost in the last week of the season all 3 times. if my alma matter didnt beat Arizona State in the 97 Rose Bowl Florida would have 2 undeserved NC's instead of 3.

People say Tennessee's unofficial color scheme should have been celtic green with little white shamrocks on the collar in 98. I agree and at the same time, I couldn't care less.
