They just obliterated the refs on Two Pros and a Cup of Joe this morning.

If I’m Heupel, I’d never accept an invite to the Music City Bowl again.
If Heupel is the coach we think he is we shouldn’t have even consider going to Music City ever again except to steamroll Vandy every other year. We shouldn’t ever have to settle for the MCB.

Was watching it with my wife and saw the ref spot the ball on one of our drives. He sat the ball down then before leaving it he moved it a football length backwards. Subtle but costing UT little bits of yardage. My wife picked up on it right away, too.
Two of my friends that didn’t watch the game together both told me there were several instances of bad spots. My seats were in the corner so I couldn’t tell

I was at the game and The refs consistently spotted the ball short. More to that crew than just being incompetent. IMO, these guys are corrupt officials. Incompetence should balance out, dishonesty doesn’t.

This won't be a popular opinion but can the ref's effect a game sure but the game should be decided by the play on the field and not the ref's. We missed way too many opportunities on the field to lose that game. That falls on execution by the team and the mismanagement at times by our staff. I love the killer instinct by CJH but sometimes just take the points and a little better game calling in the red zone. JMHO

I wish he would have tried to get closer for a game winning field goal but at the same time there was pass interference that was not called that should have been a TD but since it was a interference it should have been 15 yards.

Chip the balls, the field, the cleats, etc. Humans cannot be trusted.

This officiating crew has baggage. They've been suspended in the past.
They should be suspended for a season. If we did that I bet some of these zebras would get their act together.
I'll always recall coaching youth ball. A game needed another official and I was ask by the head of officials if I could sub one game. I had been involved in sports for many years but never called a game.
I the guy, what if I make a mistake?
He's response, don't worry about it the others will have your back and uphold the call......wow.

I think that crap happens all the time at all levels.
Yes and they should, refs are human and are going to make mistakes!
In the matter of NCAA officiating everyone should demand the Greedy conference big shots to put competent crews out for every game. The rake in millions and spend pennies for officiating and it shows.

That was very unfortunate, we won that game. Great first season for Coach Heupel. I’m only critical of our defense, but when we score in 2 minutes that doesn’t give them much rest. Not really sure how to fix that besides slowing offense down.

Wrote in another thread that someone said after the game that the ACC and NCAA would most likely send a quiet letter of apology for the blown call, acknowledging the TD.

FINE! Let's do what North Carolina did... got the letter, put it on the bulletin board, changed the loss to a win and claimed the game as a win.

This says it all. On this video, he focuses on the actual athletes, but in other videos he speaks more on officials. Not sure how one explains what happened any other way, incompetence should work both ways.

Michael Franzese on gambling

During the Alabama game against Cincinnati, they mentioned that Alabama had the second most pass interference calls this year in the NCAA with 17 penalties. In one game, we were called with six. We had two holding penalties with none on Purdue.

The way he spotted the ball all night was questionable at best. It seems all of our spots were almost a yard behind where the runner ended up and he gave Purdue some very generous spots. No one can convince me this game was not somewhat rigged by the officials
I know I saw one play in the 1st qtr that was at least a yard farther that it should have been for Purdue. Short spots can always be explained, but this spot was just odd.
