Sure we should have won this game and I think everyone agrees that QB and poor offensive line play were mostly to blame.

That being said, there were some positives:

1. Our defense is outstanding. They were put in bad positions due to turnovers and still only gave up 1 TD. Held UCLA to less than 200 yards.

2. The kickers looked solid. Two FG's by Lincoln and Cunningham punted well.

3. We are playing lots of Freshmen which bodes well for the future.

4. Despite the lack of a passing game we were still able to run the ball decently against a very good UCLA D line.

1. The defense looked good, but it missed a couple of big plays.
2. Cunningham kicked the opening ball out of bounds.
3. Our freshmen finally looked like freshmen.
4. Both Hardesty and Brown averaged less than 4 yards per carry. But Hardesty did make some of the best 0 yard gains I have ever seen.

This is true, lol. He was fighting for his life not to be stopped for a loss on occasion. Our interior line got raped at times.

The #1 positive I am taking from this afternoon is that Kevin Prince is going back to California with less than 32 teeth.

Not as good as the 6th best team in the Pac 10

yep, I too hope we do not lose our recruits. Got nothing against Crompton, but he is done. Got to move on. Kiffin knew it or he would not have running it every time at the end. I mean look what happen when he had to throw it with a minute 40 left.

There are not positives out of this game. I know Kiffin will not take it that way. He is a manager and can see when it is bad. I say we bring out every trick play in the book against Florida and just go nuts...who cares now. We got nothing to lose.

I agree with alot of this. We need to put our freshman on the field next week and just let it all hang out. We are going to be huge "underdogs" with "no chance of winning". We might as well go down in a blaze of glory.
