First for the obvious:

We do not have much of an offense. Yes, FL played a good game on defense, but what is our excuse against UAB? Dropped balls? Give me a greak. A great offense would have put up 30 against them. Jacksonville State scored 28 on them. Enough said.

Obvious: The 2 QB experiment is a disaster. Both of these guys are playing while listening for the staff to call the other player's number. The coaches can say they don't want them looking over their shoulder while they're in the game, but that's BS. They are looking over their shoulder and it's apparent. They're playing like it. If we're going to play both it needs to be on a game by game basis. Start one and let him play the entire game. This would provide continuity for the offense, confidence for the QB, and a rythm for the team.

Obvious: We have a great Defense. Any defense that holds Fl to 16 should be rewarded with a win and game balls. Enough said.

Not so Obvious: Where we'll finish. If this same Offense shows up in Baton Rouge, look for it to get ugly quickly.

Not so Obvious: How much longer Phil can protect Randy with poor showings in big SEC games with the talent we have this year.

Not so Obvious: How long Phil can remain untouched with mistakes like the faked punt. That mistake was coaching. It was not a time for a freshman punter to be exercising a pass option. He should have understood when he went in that was no place to be lobing, and that's all it was, a ball at the receiver.

Not so Obvious: What coach Cutt's role will be later on.

I don't think CPF is in any danger over one call. UM went for a 4th and 1 in his own territory and didn't get it. The difference is they won and we didn't so UM isn't being second guessed today but CPF is.
I think Phil is okay. I don't think there is any way that the LSU game is ugly, we may lose, but nobody's blowing us out.

Another item that really bothers me is how out of synch are qb's and wr's are.

i watched some of the fall practice vid of the team, and the wr's are all making 1 handed catches breazing through ainge is throwing at about 75%, eveyone looking around thinking look how good we are. Then it gets to game time, they threw i think 4 or 5 deep balls on 1 on 1 coverage and a wr didnt even get a hand on the ball. There's no threat there. They are playing us man to man, and we cant get any separation from the defenders and put the ball in there? These guys need to be playing at full speed in practice, they are so out of synch it was embaressing. That to me is a coaching mistake, i know they are concerned about injuries, but we have to be able to throw the ball effectively

Phil is ok but his tobacco chewing sidekick from Morristown should be on the grill. If someone would take his little note pad from him he wouldn't find the stadium. :focus:

Hey Sarge i have been the hardest on the coaching staff all year, but i went to Morristown East High School with Randy, he is a good guy, i think the job is way to much for him. I believe thats pretty obvious by watching our offense since Cutcliffe left. I wouldnt make it personal though he is very descent guy

I think you have mention something very true. If you ever watch UT practice, you will notice how much slower they perform. UT is playing like they are practicing. It's hard to switch gears for a game especially if you have been practicing slow all week. I remember my playing days and coach always saying "you play like you practice".

I agree with that. I think he is a good guy too, and would have been fine as a qb coach, he just wasnt ready for the OC job.
