Frost is gone to Nebraska and Kirby is not going anywhere. As for the award...Bill Clark took a team off a two year death sentence, with whatever players he could find, to 8-4 and bowl eligible. Not to mention his no-star QB threw for more yards than 5-Star Franks in their loss to UF.

Best coaching job in America.

Bill Clark is better than Fulmer's final 3

Still Tee Martin over Clark right now....
But that's mainly on the fact that I don't think Tennessee fans understand how good of a coach Clark is and could see more damage done to Tennessee's image on fan response again.

All I can say is when you are an up and coming coach in competition with Dabo and Kirby for National coach of the year award...you deserve serious consideration.

Starting to really feel like national media is going to have one big "UT got what it deserves moment." Let's hope we are at least a basketball school now.

The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), in conjunction with the Allstate Sugar Bowl, has named Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin and UAB head coach Bill Clark among the eight finalists for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

Picked in the preseason to finish fifth in the East Division, Kiffin led the Owls to a perfect 8-0 mark in Conference USA games and a victory in the 2017 Dynacraft C-USA Football Championship Game, becoming just the second school in league history to finish undefeated in league play and win the title game. Florida Atlantic is 10-3 overall and on a current nine-game winning streak, the school’s longest since moving to the FBS level in 2005. Led by sophomore RB Devin “Motor” Singletary, the nation’s touchdown leader with a C-USA record-tying 30, FAU has the No. 6 rushing offense and No. 9 scoring offense in the FBS. The Owls will play in their first bowl game since 2008 when they face MAC East Division Champion Akron in the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

We got an AD who is not going to hire a great head coach. No sir, he is too smart for that. He is going to hire an assistant who might be a good head coach.

If you think Kiffin's trolling of the UT admin is bad now, just wait till he is back in an SEC program and starts kicking our a@@. It will be epic (and sad).

Bill CLark is likely to have the edge for CotY due to sympathy vote IMO.
