I just got back from visiting family up in the Bluegrass and most of the people I talked to are going nuts about this weekened. They want Blood this Sat. Heck they even told me that they want this game more than they did LSU.

I won't lie Volnation I am scared to death. I know if we play to our abilites we will win, but if we come out flat early it will be a long day. We are going to have to jump on them early to take their crowd out of the game.

It has been an Up and Down season and my heart and spirit will be Crushed if Kentucky keeps us out of Atlanta.

If we do loose Sat it is going to be the LONG and sad Offseason:cray:

If the vols come out flat this game something is very wrong.. This is it for all the marbles as they say .. win and your in.. The players really should be up for this.

For some reason I have a good feeling about this game...I felt the same way before the UGA and Arky games.

and you know what happened to those teams:dance:

I wish I had the same feeling I really do. I dont know why but this game scares the Hell out of me. 1984 was a long time ago.

I have the same feeling I did for the Cal game last year and the UGA game this year... so let's all hope my feelings on this one give end results like those two games.

I know it doesnt mean alot but we did beat KY in 2005 when we were terrible. I am not saying we will definatley beat KY but I think we have a good chance.

The past 22 seasons mean nothing in regards to this game. Just ask Notre Dame how many points their win streak gave them vs Navy.

I am sensing cautious optimism from Kats fans in the Nashville area. The thing that makes this kentucky team different is that the talent gap has closed quite a bit; therefore, the Kat's margin for error has increased. KY has the personnel to win this game even if they give up a turnover or get a couple of bad calls. Vandy couldn't survive the effects of the roughing the kicker penalty. When the Dores got that call I think everyone in Nashville knew they were going to lose. In the past, Kentucky was in a similar situation to Vandy personnel-wise but now Kentucky doesn't have to be perfect to win. They will be highly motivated to break the streak, end their regular season on a high note, and possibly play their way into the Peach/Cotton/Outback Bowl tier (as opposed to Music City/Liberty). Add in home field and having an assistant coach who is very familiar with the Vols schemes and alignments and I think KY has a very legitimate shot at winning this game BUT my gut says the Vols will win.

This is definitely the most scary Kentucky game I can remember. And one of the few times the 'kats can realistically be confident about their chances to win. I just hope our guys are loose and ready to play... we have a lot to lose and I'd hate to see us come out tight.

UT wins the toss, takes the ball, scores on the first drive. That will ease the sphincter tone of many fans including myself. But, if we lose the toss be ready for some Bama onsides crap. Funny how we started the year leaning on our offense and now we have leaned on our D for the past couple of games. Ahh, college football, you got to love it.

I am a little worried about this one as well.We are 1-3 on the road and those losses were bad. I am hoping some of the young guys have gotten enough experience now to handle it

i will be utterly disgusted and disappointed if there's not some extra pep in their step this weekend. motivation and attitude should not be lacking with what's on the line for us.

This goes beyond coaching. This will be a gut check for the guys that we are counting on to step up and be leaders.

CBS right?

I got to go to a damn predators game that night, so I will have to listen to the end of it on the radio...Man I hate hockey...

If you have been to any of the cats boards, they are trying to pull out all the stops to fire up their team.

edit: Oops. I heard this weekend that the Iron Bowl was the back-end of the doubleheader on CBS, but that is incorrect. According to secsports.com, FU-FSU is the late game.
