This weekend features a number of "classic" match-ups, including USC vs. Notre Dame and Florida State-Miami. Here in Central Florida, no one is talking about either of those games, at all. Instead, everyone is talking about South Florida-Rutgers.

What planet is this?

Wondering the same thing....It's amazing how the Bulls and Scarlet Knights are suddenly a headliner...

The Orlando area has a lot of Florida fans here and all of those fans you talk to end up saying the same thing, and with a little concern in their voice: "Kentucky is pretty good."

I didn't even know the Noles and Canes were playing this week.....How many times between '87 and '00 was that the most hyped game of the year?

Eh....Get back to me when the Rockies are playing in the World Series.

Oh, wait...
:eek:lol:Denver vs. Cleveland, potentially, for the world Series.

if i were the Rockies, i'd have John Elway sitting behind home plate at Jacobs feild and wave to the home crowd.

that's just be funny, well maybe not for the Cleveland fans:p

I found out about the FSU-Miami game last night. Not even the local radio guys are discussing it. Its like FAMU vs. Charleston.

This is a great idea. I've already forwarded it on to my friend, the Browns/Indians fan. He had an immediate two-letter response...

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond is another Dimension a dimension of sound ,a dimention of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance of things and ideas you've just crossed over into the football season of 2007. th th th thhhhhhhhhh.

Just goes to show if you can get a couple wins over some media favored jekyll and hide teams everyone anoints you the next Boise State. As far as radio coverage in Orlando is concerned the 740 the team guys are pretty worthless in my opinion, and for whatever reason I cannot seem to get ESPN radio. An odd year in football for sure.

I'll also admit, I had no idea they were playing this year either...Where is it even at? Orange bowl or Tallahassee? When do you guys think Bowden will step down?

Tallahassee, if memory serves.

I think Bobby Bowden will retire this year or next. Jimbo will be the new HC.

Terry Bowden has really been out there marketing himself for a new coaching job. If Fulmer retires and you hire him, I will not be able to come back to this site ever again because I would just not be able to stop laughing uncontrollably. So that would be a benefit for you -- might be worth it.

If Bowden retires at the end of the season I see Mark Richt filling in that spot. Jim Bo hasnt exactly made the offense "excel". And I pray that Terry Bowden will stay away from the Hill. I dont know if I could stop crying uncontrollably enough to watch a game with him on the sideline.

Considering MH's hiring track record, I doubt a Bowden could even sniff the state let alone make it to the campus.
