The winning culture remains only in our memories. We know what good looks like. But sadly, the brass and folks before the scenes have let us down.

A strong culture of success is one that ties every member of the organization and every activity to a singular goal. Neyland established a military culture, our identity. His x/o tactics aren’t used anymore, but his attention to detail, competitiveness, and organizational skills led to winning at a level few have achieved in any sport. His coaching tree led to Bobby Dodd, which led to Frank Broyles (who coached Doug Dickey). Dickey coached Fulmer, and so it goes. Anyone who played for Neyland or his disciples checked so many boxes, as playing for the Bear did for Alabama. But as we’ve seen with Belichick and Saban, simply being part of a successful operation only helps so much. They may know what right looks like, but aren’t equipped to fix it when it isn’t.

Pruitt isn’t going to keep this together if he doesn’t hold himself - much less his assistants and players - accountable.

Pruitt does not know how to build and instill a winning culture. He didn't claw his way up through the coaching ranks and almost all of his experience came at places where he was served up loaded rosters that dominated the competition (Hoover, Bama, FSU and UGA). The rednecks in our fanbase like him because they think he's one of them but it's a complete bullshite act. The guy was born on third base of the coaching fraternity and we're supposed to act like he's a home run hitter because he likes cornbread. Pruitt is basically a Dooley without the hair, the pants, and the historical references. Hire someone who's done it before and the fans will be patient.

Dooley is a good comparison. He’s done squat when not under Saban. Unfortunately we hired a guy in Jones that clawed his way up to a level of incompetence. Jones had a culture of abuse that led to a stunning amount of transfer and roster attrition.
