Yet again, I'm bored. So I wanted to see if anyone else on the board plays weekend softball for fun. I play because:
A) I need to get out of the house on some weekends without paying $25 for 18 holes of golf.
B) We don't have a Rec Basketball league.
C) I'm past my baseball prime(peaked at the ripe age of 13...dammit)
and
D) Well, it turns out it's pretty fun to play.

My team mostly plays around West TN and will be going to Middle TN in July.

I have before, now it's just 2 nights a week of league ball. Having a kid will kill your dream of weekend super-stardom.

There is a great league here on the Army base that I work on. Pretty competitive league with teams from active and reserve Army, USMC, and civilians. We have started playing two nights a week. Its a good way to keep active while at the same time pounding 12oz silver bullets all night :)

I used to play but got tired of having 20 people say they would play but then only having 8 show up each week.

I love both of my Mikens. :)

Smoky Mountain Classic is in a couple of weeks here in Maryville. It's absolutely insane how hard and far some of those guys can hit a ball.

Oh man I wouldn't trade my Miken Recoil for any bat. Some people can just bomb a softball, but then you have to get into the talk about shaved sticks and whatnot
