UT definitely turned it's back on Fulmer and his supporters. He and Cut averaged 10-11 wins a season nearly 80-90% of the time. I have to look at hard at my continued support for the Vols. You?

No. I love Fulmer and all he's done, but he is not the end-all, be-all of Volunteer athletics.

Fulmer didn't average 10-11 wins a season in the years he was without Cut.

Fulmer should always be honored for the NC he let the team to and the successes the program had under him. But that doesn't mean he is entitled to be the AD.

Fulmer had no business being Athletic Director...

Blackburn, maybe...

But, Currie seems to be a good choice.

I'll be in the stadium as many times as I can when the Vols are playing.

Disagree just because you won a national championship in a sport does not give you the experience to run the whole AD department . I love Fulmer as a coach .

hit the road then, keep a digging and don't look back.........Mrs. Davenport made an awesome decision to stay away from the old way of doing things
There is new blood and I am pleased that mediocrity has left Big Orange Country. With Currie the championship banners will return

I think so many people got so hyped up about Fulmer for AD is because it's a name they knew. That's fairly rare (these days) for a AD hire. Let's face it, most folks couldn't pick Currie or Blackburn out of a lineup.

I get your point but the fact is the old way of doing things was more successful. Im sorry it just was. You have to adapt and grow....change etc with the times but Fulmers success and record isn't anywhere near to being matched and won't be anytime soon. The old times are why Ut is in the top 10 all time winning programs. It sure as hell has nothing to do w anything Ut has done since getting rid of the evil Phil. He had a couple off classes but what has Butch done last 2 years? #14 classes last 2. Not horrible but things have not come anywhere near the success Phil had...and its a shame.
