Destroyed us last year and now beat us on our court, only the second road game they have won, Pearl is the better recruiter.

So what your trying to say is Kevin is not as smart as all but two of the coaches he has played on the road but Pearl is the better recruiter? On the flip side Pearl must be smarter than the Pitt and Nova coaches? Dont see much validity to this argument...

Seems to me O'neil just knows how to gameplan for Pearl's teams. Plus this is clearly a huge game for O'neil, for obvious reasons. This coupled with Hopson's annual Houdini act and basically we look like garbage.

These last three games have been some of the worst I've ever seen. It's one thing to be lacking talent, but these guys are clearly underachieving and there's no two ways about it. Makes me sick.

It is like they improve on one thing and forget how to do the rest!
Last night improved on free throw shooting. Could not do anything else!

the real truth is pearl is a better motivator than x's and o's coach. i don't think anyone would dispute that. i don't see how the squad can get so amped up to play highly ranked opponents and come out and kill them, but against a less opponent look completely dysfunctional. our defense saved us in those early games, and it's completely evaporated. they got too many easy looks and three's last night and it really hurt when we'd make a run at them and the little 5'7" kid hits a 3. hope we learn how to either shoot 60% from 3 or come up with some new plays on offense to score against either soft man or a zone. because that's what we'll see the rest of the year because we've shown the last 3 games and vs. indianapolis that we can't knock down three's when we're being played off of.

It's obvious we can't shoot so all he did was make us shoot 3's and we were stupid enough to do it

yesterday made me wish Kevin would have stayed for the long haul. Unfortunately Doug Dickey is an idiot when it comes to basketball.

He may be smarter but bruce pearl has been much more successful.

O'Neill has went to multiple programs, inherited crap and made something out of the program. He's never been in a position to stick around to coach what he's built. I'm not comparing coaches, but O'Neill has done his share of successful rebuilding efforts, also.

I don't think that Kevin is smarter than Pearl. I'm also not saying that he isn't smart himself. I am trying to figure out why we stopped driving the ball and fouling out their whole team? Almost everyone of them were in foul trouble and we were shooting it great from the line and the next thing I know we are taking jump shots. What gives?

Do you not understand what 18 basically unforced turnovers are? Having the ball stripped every time we went inside also helped greatly.

I do understand that but I would rather keep taking it inside and have the chance of them fouling us while we are turning it over than taking jump shots that we have not been hitting.

What has Kevin accomplished exactly? His college coaching record isn't exactly stellar.

He's taken over rebuilding jobs and done a Hell of a job at every stop. You don't become an NBA Head Coach by not knowing what you're doing.
