What does the torch mean that a select number of UT players have on their jersey? I first saw it on Ainge's jersey at the beginning of Football season. Thanks

Perhaps, for the less than stellar academic performers, they can have a "dim bulb" patch. E.g. a 10-watt light bulb.

"Now work hard this semester, Johnson, so you don't have to wear the patch of shame."
