The Thing prequel

I hope this hadn't come up previously but I had no idea they were doing this. I watched Carpenter's '82 version just last week and thought to myself how obvious a storyline was left hanging at the Norwegian station before the dog made it to the American outpost. (nevermind what happened with Mac & Childs at the end)

The '82 version is one of my favorite horror/thriller movies ever. I seriously doubt this new one can top Carpenter's version but I will still see it in theatres if it gets good initial buzz.

Looks like a remake disguised as a prequel. I hope they keep the CGI to a minimum as the special effects in the original still look fantastic. Won't even be close to the original, hopefully it can be decent. Glad they at least kept a bit of the original theme in there, such a lonely and chilling theme.

Winstead seems out of place in the trailer, they should've gone with someone like Rose Byrne.
