The Thing (2011)

The Thing from '82 is a great movie. I don't think this new one will add much to what John Carpenter already mastered. But I will still go to see it in the theatre unless the reviews are horrible.

can't be as good as the first one unless Wilford Brimley slams defibrillators through a replica's chest cavity only to have it's rib bones turn into teeth that bite Brimley's arms off.

I always thought "The Thing" filmed in 1951 was one of the greatest horror flicks of all time.

The Thing must be watched atleast once every two weeks

not gonna happen. Carpenter's best film, "Escape from New York" is watchable maybe twice a year and "Escape from LA" should only be watched while unconscious.

Saw this yesterday, I thought it was pretty good. The effects were pretty nice for the most part, I did think they showed the alien way too much. I also didn't care much for the ship interior shots. I did really like how it ended seamlessly with the start of the '82 version. But yeah, it's a cool watch. Don't really see why it ended up with a Rotten rating on RT. If you watch, stay for the credits.

MEW is purty.
