I agree it is time to move on. I agree the Fulmer era has sadly come to an end. I am glad that he is bowing out gracefully.

Just want to send a huge thank you for the memories. A huge thank you for the years of service to Tennessee. Phil Fulmer was the perfect fit for Tennessee when he was announced head coach. He served us well and brought us a National Championship.

I hope the future only holds great things for Coach Fulmer and his family.

Couldn't agree more. Classy guy and one of the best coaches in the game during his prime.

The coach can go out like he should - with dignity and appreciation from the fans. Its one of those sad things - wish it could have been otherwise, but absolutely necessary at this time.

agreed. fulmer pumped everything he had into tennessee and he brought us our best 10 year run ever. i am very excited about the future with our current roster and whatever recruits stick with us. with a good offensive gameplan and some new blood on the sidelines, we should back in a year or two to compete on the national level. the sec is gonna be a lil weaker next year and we are in a good position if we get the right guy and the right staff. thank you phillip fulmer. you will always be a vol

It is definitely needed, but I have no ill-feelings towards him or the job he did. He still tried, just wasn't the same lately. I wish him the best, and I think he probably hopes nothing but the best for Tennessee.

I agree. He meant nothing but great things for this school. I can only hope that he goes out with the cheers that he deserves. He changed a lot of young men's lives as coach. He has been and will be a great representative of this university. He once again put the school first and did what was best for the program.

Thanks Phil.

thanks Coach. I got to see some of the best years of UT football while a student. Wish it could have turned out differently but I can appreciate the strength it took to make this decision.

He'll be looked upon with much more respect over the next decade or so than he is now but he definetly is up there with Majors,Neyland and the other great coaches for UT.

150-51 over 17 years is down right exceptional.

Thank You for Peyton Manning

Good pic and post. I'm glad he agreed to this now, so he can be appreciated for what he accomplished during the good years.

Yessir. I am going to Old Spice in Orlando, which runs TH/FRI/SUN. I may have to get to Knoxville for the football game on Saturday. That's a lot of driving, but I want to see this.
