I have McDad in my good category too. I haven't see a lot of your posts, but so far so good. I think we can both agree what category @The Ron Mexico is in.And that’s why you fall into the “good” poster category for me.

I like bumped threads where predictions were made. Not to rub someone's nose in it. What a poster predicts doesn't enhance the game experience for me, win or lose.
I like the bumps to see how the conventional wisdom on the board changes as the season plays out. I think it is interesting some were very optimistic based on coaching because "we had talent". Now that we are 3-5, we dont have talent.
This thread was bumped for good reason.I know this will bring on the fire breathers, but so be it. Why do some of you purposely bump a thread where fans were excited about watching and rooting for our team, only to no avail and take delight in making fun of those fans that were pumped for a game. Did we lose, yes we did, but the volunteers team is the glue that holds us fans together, regardless which side of the spectrum we fall. It’s easy to say what the winning lottery numbers are after the drawing, but isn’t it fun for a moment to dream big?
this
The biggest sunshine pumpers, d4h and nation etc take it in good stride and have fun with it. Something we should all be allowed to do after watching this disaster the last decade. The same cant be said for the reason this thread was bumped..I wasn’t commenting on one person’s posts, it was the generalization of the posters that seem to get pleasure in proving the so called “sunshine pumpers” were wrong in their beliefs on a game. I’m middle of the road, do some go over the top? Sure they do, but so what? Doesn’t affect my fandom one way or another, just as the “realist” doesn’t either. Everyone has a view of what the current team is going to accomplish this season.
The best one?Not one way or another for me. I’m sure @ron Mexico knows which category he falls in.
I get all that, I do, we can all have good fun, especially since we’ve all watched the last few years and watched our program digress to where it is now, what else do we have? my point was that there is some that delight in saying “I told you so “ to some of the optimistic group, week after week. I personally like the D4Hs and nationdom posters for no other reason that I’ve seen what the glory days were and they are different from most posters. Do I agree with what they put out?, no but it is different than the random poster that likes to point out when someone is wrong, to the point that they act like there is enjoyment in pointing that out. Me, I’ll stick to smiling to a post that makes me smile or chuckle, even if it’s overboard. The biggest sunshine pumpers, d4h and nation etc take it in good stride and have fun with it. Its all good man. As for why this thread was bumped take a look at who and look at his post and how he talks to people. What always amazes me is when "positive" folks say stuff they know will illicit negativity, then personally insult folks thats reply. Yep im a pit stirrer, everyone knows it. Some like it cause it generates discussion, some dont. I dont agree with some people here. Doesnt make them losers etc. Varying opinions is what makes this place fun. Im convinced that 99% percent of the folks here are good people that love the vols like I do.I did already, it wasn’t so much as the over the top comments from him, it was the reaction to them. Didn’t say I agree with what he said.
Like I said, middle of the road type person. I don’t agree with the down in the mouth bunch, nor the sun is always shining bunch. I like a good debate, doesn’t mean I agree with one way or the other side, I’m the type that would let someone know and stand by it. I’ve read his posts and think he doesn’t like to have others that don’t agree with him in his inter circle, that is a reason why I’ve never used the ignore button. What fun is that? Same vein, I think anyone can have a civil debate, no matter the personality you are debating with. Too easy to put them on ignore. What always amazes me is when "positive" folks say stuff they know will illicit negativity, then personally insult folks thats reply. What I find picular about PVF is how personal he.takes things and how he wants to be presented as such a professional, yet he will create threads for the sole purpose of comments he doesnt agree with just to personally insult them. Therefore, I hipe folks bump all his stupid prediction and slam him.
This is a critical season. I don't buy the 6-6 record predictions either. If Pruitt is as great as many feel, me included, we will have a 8-11 win season this year and set us up for a SEC Championship next year as we play Miss St, Mizz, Vandy and USC who will all have new QBs and a weak OOC schedule. Big year this season with a young team will be a lightning rod for next year!
It's not unrealistic. Smith, Hall, Jennings, Bituli, Kirkland, Warrior, Wood, Calloway, Alontae are all next level players, 2 deep is loaded with size and length, strength and speed remain to be seen. Only 2 teams on our schedule this year have better rated talent. We do play several good experienced QBs this year and OL and DL depth is a huge concern so yes a 6-6 record would probably be ok for our fanbase because of these concerns. If our main guys stay healthy and Pruitt is as good as many think I really believe we could have a breakout season this year and be favored in all but 2 games next season as we will have an experienced line, experienced qb, experienced rbs, experienced WRs, the best lb and safety groups in the league. Great coaching makes a huge difference and many just have a feeling that Pruitt is the next great one for Tn. He feels right, has done everything right so far and has said that we are showing up to win. I believe him, sad you don't! Our schedule this season is being blown out of proportion as we only play 4 ranked teams and I suspect that WVU will drop from the rankings after Saturday.
Since this got bumped, I watched the video again. Sonething kind of stood out. Now this guy says we hwve elite coaching at every position. And we have talent. Yet here we are sitting at 3-5. Hmmm, I wonder why that is?
