The streak is over

Nobody knows this about me, but I went 13 straight years without throwing up. No vomit - not a gag, nothing. Until last night.

I got food poisoning from a certain steak chimichanga mentioned in this thread.

I was up all night with the prototypical food poisoning symptoms, and of course, I tried to not vomit, but I failed ... 8 times.

I'm off work today and still feel queasy. How long does it take to get over food poisoning?

you must not drink all that much.

Chicken noodle soup.

I had food poisoning about a month ago. It took me a week before I felt right. Good luck

i think chicken noodle soup is good for about any sickness. Also Sprite/Sierra Mist/7 up is good for the stomach.

i drink water or Gatorade. it's usually a little smoother coming back up than Sprite or 7 Up.

Yeah, the carbonation doesn't help when you're sick, at least not for me. My wife swears Sprite helps her, but it has the opposite effect on me.

water and gatorade come up ten times easier for me than Sprite and i rarely ever drink a carbonated beverage.

The stories we could tell about vomiting, never had food poison. It isn't fun when your vomiting, and it's coming out of your nose and mouth together. I guess you wont be eating steak chimichanga again.

and possibly one other orifice I can think of:)

I drink quite often. :)

dude, i'm sorry, but i find it hard to believe you have never drank so much you puked. i'm not calling BS on you or anything, but damn, i never knew it was possible to drink and not puke.

i mean i'm a professional drunk myself and know my limits, but even the good ones have off nights and have one of those puke the rest of the night/all the next day/wake up on the bathroom floor kind of nights.

Haven't spewed in years but have found myself in a room spinning debacle a couple of times in the past few years. Man, I hate it when that happens

I'd rather puke than get the spins. Much worse when the room is spinning and then you need to throw up, makes for a long crawl to the bathroom, as i've found walking impossible once the spinning starts. That said, i don't think that the room has spun on me for 10 years or so

Yeah I hear ya. Usually the spins only happen when I lay down so I have to immediately get up and get fresh air. Of course that means sobering up a lot before I lay back down again.. :whistling: Of course I try to stay away from that occurrence as much as possible.
