Someone at Gridiron should at least proofread the headline next time...

They might have well written "Teeny-C".

Imagine the fan passion that will be expressed next year when Pruitt puts 9-10 wins on the board. I am feeling some good vibes starting... this is going to be an epic turn around.

Some of the best parts...

1...Our previous AD was obviously under the demands of Haslam and his $$$...NOT ethical.

2...Trying to do a coaching search in total secret, even from top people that had the right to know, was a scandal in the making from the 1st minute...NOT ethical

3...Not even answering his phone for almost a week and maybe not even from Bev Davenport, his boss, was instant reason for him to be fired.

4...Going completely rogue, and even using a private plane from a booster of his old school of employment, is justifiable cause for being fired instantly.

I'm no attorney but all the above, and probably more, as just causes to be fired instantly and certainly just cause NOT to pay that moron even 1 more cent of our money.

IMHO any smart attorney would be a buffoon to even try to take his case against UT but we all know that somebody will if only to try to negotiate some sort of fast settlement.

Great read and info, Thanks for posting the link.

I still think we got a good HC and his staff is also looking very good so far.

VFL...GBO!!!

A couple of interesting things to me:
1)Currie had no one else targeted, it was all Schiano who was Haslam's choice the whole time. Anyone with two functioning brain cells knew that would go over like a lead balloon.
2)You can tell Haslam controls the media narrative of some media outlets in particular. Haslam cares about his name before he does the UT brand.
3)If this search had started with Mike Leach, likely Currie still has a job and Tennessee is viewed as having a great hire.
4) For Fulmer to be so unseasoned as an AD, the contract of Pruitt looks much better than the contract Schiano was offered.

If I remember correctly, didn't Dooley's name kinda pop out of nowhere? It may have been because of all the scrambling HOH and the AD were doing at the time, but I don't remember hearing his name much until the Friday evening that they went to LaTech to hire him. Like I said I may not be remembering correctly.
