I know I post a lot of funny stuff (at least it is funny to me) but this post is semi-serious because it is truly what I am seeing here at Volnation and with Tennessee fans in general. In case you forgot here are the stages:

1. Denial and Isolation: "There is no way we are this bad?" "There is no way we just lost to Georgia State!"
2. Anger: "Fire everyone with orange on!" "JG is the worst QB to ever step on a field!" "We are cursed!"
3. Bargaining: "Urban Meyer is a soulless goblin from hell but maybe he would come here if we offer him enough money.."
4. Depression: I think this where we currently are at BTW. "We are no longer a blue blood." "Tennessee will never win anything again in my lifetime."
5. Acceptance: "We might as well give Pruitt a few more years to stabilize the program. We can't get any worse."

Your counseling time is up. The bill will be in the mail.

In my humble uninformed opinion I will say that the Georgia State loss is on the coaches as I think that they were treating the game like a glorified scrimmage and that attitude was transferred to the team and the reality was far different from the preparation level.

The BYU loss was due to the total inability of JG to throw the ball to our receivers as there should have been 5 picks in that game and Tennessee became a one dimensional offense and the defense spent way too much time on the field.

The UTC win was playing a far outclassed opponent, but one that was not being overlooked due to the result of the first two games and JG would be a great QB at that level of play.

The Florida loss is back to JG's inability to hit open receivers or put any kind of touch on his passes to get them over the defenders or throw the ball to the receivers and hit them in stride.

I'm not saying that we are going to be world beaters or anything close at this time, but we cannot continue to trot out the same personnel and expect different results at this time and it is going to be a rough few weeks.

I mean nothing personal to JG here, I'm just stating what I see as being the issue and that a change needs to be made.

The team can't be this bad without someone trying somewhere. Either Fulmer's got his sights on someone else (don't see him returning) or Pruitt has deal with Saban to go coach at Bama after the season. LOL.

Tough season to be a Vol fan.

We’re sitting at 1-3 right now with Georgia, Mississippi St, & Bama coming up so might as well say 1-6.

Not sure how anyone can be optimistic about Pruitt and this coaching staff this season.

At this point, beating the likes of Vandy, UAB, & Missouri would be an accomplishment.

Is there a 12 step program? Every where has a 12 step program

More like a 3 step program:
1. Gather all of your Tennessee orange paraphernalia.
2. Place a Tiger Paw over the Power T.
3. Now you are a Clemson fan and can root for a champion again.

This one truly is in jest. I love my Vols and will never leave this abusive relationship I am in.

Your counseling parallels the current state of our football program.

Thank Ms. Kubler-Ross. I'll thank my college instruction for introducing me to her decades ago.
