Fulmer says EB is not a good passer, I find it hard to believe he is worse than Crompton or Stephens.

LMAO at Fulmer if Berry comes out and throws for 350 yards. Afterall, Fulmer has been right about everything else this season.

I think everyone is neglecting the fact that no matter what the coaches say about our alternate offensive packages, they never actually use them in a game.

Where has the G-Gun been this year? Nowhere. Completely nonexistent. How many plays did Berry play on O after Fulmer promised he'd be in? One. A single completely par-for-the course screen pass. As for trick plays? One that anyone remembers, an incomplete pass by Foster.

The coaches have been content for at least 7 years now to rely entirely on their consistent run of average to below-average QBs (and generally poor o-lines) to make or break the offense.

Nothing will come of this. If anything does come of it, it will be short-lived and poorly called.

Let's play some iron man football. Just let the defense also play offense. They'll tire out fast, but it would be very interesting, very early!

I'd keep G. Jones and Cooper from offense. Everyone else is just offensive.

i'm surprised that they are even trying something diff. fig they would just be like F the season we are all fired, lets just go thru the motions

Only Fulmer could find a way to add insult to injury. If he does indeed put Berry behind center, after it's too late to save the season, he better hope that the kid doesn't get injured. Can you imagine the legacy he will take with him when he leaves if Berry seriously injures himself, hobbling him for the rest of his career? UT fans would forget about the title of 98 and have nothing but bad things to say about the second winningest coach in our team's history.

I just can't see what good this move will do now but take a chance at getting him injured with nothing to gain. Why take this chance now when he should have tried it about 8 weeks ago? This is a no win situation for Fulmer. Think about it, if Berry comes out and looks like a heisman QB,fans will only point to this as another bit of evidence that Fulmer's departure was needed. They would say that Fulmer couldn't get the right players on the field and had this happened a couple of months ago, we could have been playing in Atlanta. If Berry does badly or gets hurt, Fulmer will look bad also. I had this same feeling about ten seconds before Ainge took the snap on the last play of the first half of the 2004 Notre Dame game. Did Fulmer think Ainge was capable of throwing the ball 80 yards in the air or something? I believe that after he took his 5 step drop, 80 yards is about how far he would have to throw it to get it in the endzone.

Useless decisions like this and failure to make the obvious ones are part of the reason Fulmer will be coaching his last game for us in a few weeks. This is just a desperate attempt to win some fans back over before he leaves. The way things have been going this year,it wouldn't surprise me a bit if the worst did happen.I hope he doesn't do it.

Why now, when the season is already toast? Next year, in the first game, when everything is to be gained. Personally don't care for Urban Meyer, but do you think he is going to "not risk" injury to Tebow in any situation? No, he is going to use the best horses he has to try to win, not worry about not getting someone hurt. This is football........and people will continue to get hurt from time to time. Go for it, but next year!

In the article CPF says EB is not a great passer, how could this be? He had an awesome HS career and won a bunch of games. I saw some stuff on you tube where he was throwing some pretty passes.

Fulmer's vision has been dim for a number of years now. I really don't give what he says much credence. His judgments on who and who not to play are incredibly mind-boggling, and the examples, even this year, are right in front of us.

Any odds mister conservative will not let Berry play on that side of ball. But odds are new guy will. Gee could he be better than C.Woodson or Champ Bailey maybe.
