Last season's whipping boy for the orange goggled, unrealistic, over the top optimistic in the summertime fan base. This guy has put together quite a defense with pedestrian d tackles. Now, he has some studs in aj,sutton,reeves-maybin, Burnett, and some other guys like McNeal are having career years, but Jancek needs to be applauded more for an outstanding job. Nobody exoected us to be this good on defense. But, what's up with Vereen? Not much in splash plays.

Jancek has put together a great plan. The players have confidence which means a lot too. The difference in confidence and swagger between our D and our offense is sickly saddening.

This is a team staff good enough to teach freshmen to compete with fifth year seniors and because mistakes are made they are criticized by idiots. Give me a break!!

The idiots always have someone to blame and this year they picked someone else. Shows how wrong they were last year and they are again this year.

I just hope that our offense has some success Saturday, and doesn't go 3 and out every time. If that happens, and our defense is on the field all day, they will eventually tire, and not look nearly as good.

Bajakian's gotta go!
We had a chance with Jancek last year and blew it!
Nevermind our O-line wifs on 3 out of 4 pass blocks, he and O scheme are the problem clearly.

Great point OP. Jancek and crew deserve a lot of credit for turning a defense around in under 2 years.

I can honestly say that I'm quite impressed.

he's proven a lot of people to be full of it. However, he's in a bind Saturday. With Bo playing well and mobile, along with on the road at a top 3 team and an offense that will give little help to us, Ole Miss will be flying all over the field on offense and difficult to stop.
There will be "i told you jancek sucked" stupid threads on here Sunday or "where are all the Jancek sunshine pumping sheep" bs.
Can't wait.

What? Whipping boy? Honest question, are you one of those guys that think they are smarter after they down a fifth of Jack?

Jancek is a good coach and has the players to make his plans work. Our offense is nearly the opposite due to the line. With no blocking, Bajakian does not have the time to allow his plans to work. There's no way to know how good of a coach Bajakian is until that line improves. Which means we won't know till at least next year when the line has experience actually playing in positions they have experience playing. Meaning we don't shift linemen to positions they have no experience playing due to no injury and complete lack of depth. At any rate, Jancek is doing a great job and deserves tons of praise.
