I just don't think they are that good. I don't think UNC is that good, either.

These programs replace outgoing talented players with incoming players who are just as talented....but great players does not necessarily a great team make.

The machine requires lubrication. Or in the case of UConn, the machine needs someone not named Dyson to demonstrate some semblance of recognizable offensive basketball skills.

Agreed.

Speaking of other top tier teams, did anyone else watch Mem/Kansas and Michigan St/Zaga yesterday? Both got a good run for their money. Without Collins in the game, Kansas drops off slightly.

What should I read into our only Vol Scholars that see any time on the court are The Solution, Swiperboy, and Lil' Pearl?

Unless one has season tickets and has already shelled out the money, paying face value for tickets to any of the non Kansas home noncon games is idiocy.

Truth.

It is absolutely impossible for me to find a reason to come to Knoxville before January.

8. I have to hand it to Pearl. I certainly didn't think he'd get to 100 wins this fast.
9. Why does the dance team do the same routine to every song? Shouldn't the music dictate the dance?
Props to Pearl? I think you are growing soft.:)
As far as the dance team goes, my d-i-l was on the MTSU dance team her freshman year and they put in a lot of time but the scholarship is based on years on the team. $500.00 (books first year), then it escaltes. Pretty cheezy actually IMO.

I just don't think they are that good. I don't think UNC is that good, either.

I feel this way about teams at the beginning of every season. Few teams ever look really good out of the gate.

UNC has some holes for sure, especially compared to the team that played MSU for the championship last season. But I will say this - their front court is beyond stacked. Unless 3+ underclassmen leave early for the pros, they're going to have too many players next year.
