I don't get all of this second season talk .... the second half started with Alabama. It's nice to try to put a nice spin on the rest of the season but it's a little to late to say we are now 0-0 with only
4 Games to go. I think the whole team has went delusional.

Winning the last 4 should have no bearing on if CDD is retained or not....we are Tennessee, we should win those games!

I keep looking through my season ticket paperwork and can't find any mention of 2nd season tickets. My question I guess is, can I just pay for the 2nd season tickets since the 1st one didn't count?

I guess mathmaticaly this should be the start of the 3rd season. We were 3-1 the first season, 0-4 the second and now we start the third?

It's just a way to try to put behind 5 straight losses to top 20 teams and refocus on the last games and try for a bowl.

You guys will ***** about everything.

We are where we are, so having some short term goals is a great idea--unless you want to pack it in and lose. I guess you would whine regardless of what the team does.:cray:

If you don't understand the point of the 2nd season talk, you're either hopelessly negative or hopelessly stupid. It's really not a tough concept.

As a fan, you have every right to continue to ***** about the bama loss, but the players and coaches need to move on.

I am so torn with this situation. On one hand I am pulling for these kids every week like I always have every day as long as I can remember. Go Vols support the team....the normal routine of any fan. I want these kids to experience success so bad it hurts.

Then on the other hand...I want this "Program" to get a proven winner in here that knows how to fix all the little things holding us back. A HC that will actually out coach...out smart his adversary to win these close games and to take us to the next level.

Even though for the mental psyche of the current players...to put us in a more desirable image in the eyes of recruits...the fact we can't beat any team of relevance in the SEC...we need to win out and win a bowl game. At the same time for the sake of progressing with a new proven winner at the helm...I don't want it to buy Dooley another season simply to let him go at the end of it next year.

Damned if we do....damned if we don't. Wanting the best for the program as a whole moving forward is just more important than today....I truly believe that.

This is the type of crap you get when you have a lawyer coaching your football team..

It's the same type stuff most of the coaches are talking about to help keep a team focused. Dooley just tells us more. It's always about trying to find a focus and move to the next game. Shockingly, everybody is making a big deal about it.

Probably some truth to that.

Most fans realize the proving moments in this season have passed. The second season or the rest of the season takes on a totally different light. About all you can really get out of the remaining games is wins over bad to average teams or really bad losses. Nothing to really get excited over either way.

No need to beetch about that game. They were outclassed by a better all around team.. I don't get as upset about those as i do about the ones they pissed away. I really don't get upset about any of it anymore.. No need to.. They clearly don't. Why should we?

Exactly. This staff is not proving anything with beating the next 4 teams. These are not the wins that take us to the next level. Dooley isn't taking this team to any new level with these wins...and if we struggle against these teams coming up  then what does that mean? I have the feeling that Mizzu is going to get a "W" in Neyland Stadium.

Who doesn't get upset? The players crying on the field or locker room?
