I will root for Al Quaeda University if they ever field a team over Alabama. That being said, I don't care if they win, as long as we lay the wood to them.

We're not going to get an opportunity to play for that crystal ball if you get your wish. Look at Louisville this season. Even if they had gone undefeated, they were going to be left out of the NC game. Strength of schedule matters and playing in the best conference helps you at the end of the season. It makes it more likely that you will get a chance to play -- and you'll be a better team for having survived the tougher competition.

I want Tennessee to be the best of the best. I don't dream of diluting the competition so we can skate through and be a pretender. What would be the point of that?

UF, UGA, and LSU will always sign top-10 classes just because of their locations. UT has to battle schools outside SEC country more than any other SEC program. It helps going into NC, OH, IL, CA, and MI being an one of the few SEC teams to offer a kid when the SEC is the best. I hate UA winning more than anyone (trust me I have to live amongst them), but them winning the title doesn't hurt UT.

Caring about the SEC claiming another national title is like the Atlanta Hawks claiming a championship for their division the past two years from the Heat. It's moronic. Now that they are letting four teams in the playoff it matters even less. We should hope and pray bama gets rolled by auburn and doesn't get another title. Last time I checked vols are supposed to hate bama, stop rooting for the SEC (bama) to win another title ya jaggovs

Agreed. Most Bammer fans are bandwagon fans anyway. I live in GA and saw someone with Chatt-town tags and Bama flags on their car. That just turned my stomach.

I just don't get how a Tennessee fan can get any satisfaction of the SEC dominance the last several years, when we sucked and had 0% to do with it. Sorry, but any UT fan cheering for an SEC team makes me puke.

Its that way in Middle TN too. They are every where. Back when were beating them every year there weren't many to be seen. Now they're every where.

I wouldn't really care about the dominance so much if it just wasnt Bama winning it every year.
