The SC fans said it all

Kentucky's a better team than in years past. But i won't agree that they were the number #8 team in america. That was to high and it was only a matter of time. Still i have to commend rich brooks and his staff for making kentucky respectable and someone you can't sleep on. I wish i could say something nice and positive about our staff just can't think of anything thing for some reason.

Welcome to SEC football. Neither team is overrated or underrated. To quote Dennis Green-"They are who we thought they were". These teams are not dominate, they are better than they normally are, but neither will finish in the top 15. All the SEC is competitive and anything can happen any given Saturday(or Thursday). How long have most of you Negaposters been watching football?

I don't know that it would be all that big a shock if SC snuck in somewhere from 12th-15th.

South carolina to me looks like a pretty solid club. They are solid on defense and can run the football. They play a little special teams too. Spurrier was right when he said they can compete this year they will. Spurrier is just a good football coach college anyway.

Yes, See I thought KY was the real deal but I guess I was very very wrong. Congrats to SC but I still lost $50. D@mn Steve S.!! :banghead2:

You should have just asked me before you placed the bet. I would have only charged you $25.

Spurrier just always figures out ways to move the ball...and it seems to be irrelevant who he has doing it. Amazing coach.

That aside, SC looks soft in both lines of scrimmage. That will catch them at some point.

For Tennessee to beat them, we'll need Chavez to come up with some well designed, timed, and mixed blitzes. You can get after their QB, but we'll have to be smart about it and do it with scheme; because our DL doesn't look any better to me than KY's.

That being said . . . Has there ever been a more off base ranking than putting Kentucky in the top 10?

This week's top 10 is iron-clad evidence that they shouldn't even put official polls out until, say, now. Half the teams in the top 10 are there just by default.

(Hint: if #5 Wisconsin is an underdog to unranked Ron Zook, then the polls obviously don't mean anything.)

Well thats good news then because SC dominated georgia's lines on both sides.

Well, Woodson definitely didn't look like a Heisman contender. He overthrew wide open receivers, and accounted for 2 turnovers for TDs. He didn't look comfortable in the pocket, at all.

USC is also the first decent defense that Kentucky has faced. Gives me hope UT can study the tapes and mimick USC's performance. The defenses are almost identical. Chock full of young players and have a terrible run D.

that one pick Woodson threw at the endzone reminded me of Ainge in 05, sooooo glad Sanders is gone.

Yes they are....both teams are average...no doubt both are OVERRATED!

Kentucky belongs in the top 20. They are not a top 10 program. SC on the other hand may be right where they belong. Get Smelley a few more starts, and Spurrier will be very dangerous. I look for the Cocks to contend for the east, and expect the Florida/SC game to tell the tale.

Yeah we can study the tapes and work like heck eh? I think Ky had a bad night last night. They just didnt seem to get on track. I dont think they are a top 10 team by no means BUT I would be willing to say Randy S. cant wait to play UT. That should be a good game and I hope we can hold there Offence cause they do have some good talent.

right you are, very poised for such a young and inexperienced guy. Just think if he played for Ky he would be "Smelley Cat" as it is he's.......well, never mind

Overrated. Told my dad SC would win my 21. Close.

This chant has never made sense to me...

When a fan base starts chanting this I laugh cause they are basically degrading the victory that there team just achieved
