Having watched UT play at Neyland since the 1960's, I can truthfully say this was the most electric atmosphere experienced. It was loud, crazy and has people dancing all around us. I cannot wait to go back to Neyland for another experience like Saturday.......that is with the exception of throwing crap on the field. It only took a few bad apples to make all of us look like a bunch of classless jerks.

Loudest game I experienced was Oklahoma. How did the crowd stack up to that one, noise wise?

In my opinion, having attended games since 1968, the crowd noise was most certainly Top 10 worthy, maybe Top 5. For me, Florida 2004, Oklahoma 2015, Florida 1998, and Alabama 1982 were louder. So maybe Ole Miss goes up there with them. I saw all 5 games from the same seat in the stadium. In any event, it was historically loud, especially for a marathon length of game.

Elated to see this atmosphere this year. I thought it might take a couple of years to get back to a full-throated Neyland. Hoping to see a lot more of the first 59 minutes of that passion going forward.

Top 5 loudest game I’ve been to. Off the top of my head I’d rank the top 3 as: UF 2004, OU 2015 and last night. Last night is fresh in my mind and it’s the closest atmosphere to that OU game of the last 5-7 years, so I may be overselling it, but my ears were literally ringing multiple times last night and my seats are in BB so most of the noise is below me. Last night was an unbelievable atmosphere and a great reminder of what Neyland can be.

If anyone has any thoughts or pictures to share of the incredible atmosphere pregame, the parting of the T or the decibel levels please share.

Loudest I have heard the stadium. Longest I have seen it carry that volume for the majority of the game. First time since I was in college, 18 years ago, that I left a game hoarse. Atmosphere was great until we decided to be babies.
