The rotation?

I am saying he hasn't been a guy we cared about getting into foul trouble until now. Now it will matter.

i wouldnt say we wouldnt care if he was in foul trouble i mean for the last 3 games he has been our starter, you typically dont want your starters getting into foul trouble. as i said i think him playing some at point may, actually help him stay in the game, and actually out of foul trouble a little bit.

gotcha. well same thing stands though in these last 3 games he has done a good job and the one game that he got in foul trouble was uk and he didnt even play backup pg in the game. i stand by my thought that if he had played back up pg and was covering teague instead of gilchrist that he wouldnt have been in foul trouble.

I see this as a negative. I really like his intensity on ball defending mentality and anything that encourages him to back off that approach isn't a good thing.

so im guessing your thought would be play tatum at back up pg instead of richardson, and just leave richardson as sg?

I don't know if I would do that or not but I did feel Tatum had some good minutes there yesterday. I got the feeling he played just as good there as JR did at Miss State. At the very least I don't feel from what I have seen so far that either is head and shoulders better in that role. It should only be for 5-8minutes anyway as TG will play as many as 35min.

thats fair enough. i guess my concern with that is just this though; tatum plays about 28 minutes at sf, take away 10 for pg and now you have to give those minutes to someone, who? mcrae i guess is the obvious answer but now your increasing his minutes and he has been anything but deserving of that. its a shame that mcbee isnt a little better with the ball he is the perfect answer to put as a backup pg and we're not forced to lose much defensively.

golden32/mcbee8
richardson25/mcrae8/mcbee7
tatum28/mcrae12
stokes28/maymon12
maymon18/hall22

that actually doesnt look that bad to me, i think you are playing your strengths as much as you can.

In one of these post I suggested that Mcrae get those minutes. He is too talented to be such an afterthought IMO.

there is no question about his talent but his lack of doing anything with it is very alarming...in his last 8 games he has a total of 38 points, 16 rebounds 6 assists 11 t.o...thats an average line of 16 min, 4 ppg, 2 rb, 1ast, 1.5 t.o. that is absolutely awful and there is no other way to possibly spin that.

That's tough to see. It seems he is still having a good attitude if body language means anything.

oh absolutely and that is one of the reasons that i really like the kid he is always first off the bench and into the game just like he is the one out there playing.

i went and checked out missouri states players minutes from last year to see what ccm preferences are. he had 4 guys over 30 minutes a game, 1 with about 25, 1 with 20,and the other about 15, he played 7 main guys and another 1 or 2 guys a couple minutes each. a couple other interesting stats: his teams gave up 63 ppg, ironically in our last 4 games where the team seems to really be starting to get it we gave up and avg of about 65 a game, seems the team is starting to play how he wants. the other key stat i found was that his teams averaged 10 turnovers per game we are not near that amount yet, but the last few games around 13, or 14 so we are starting to get there. i would really like to see us go a little bit more with the minutes that he used at missouri state.

PG: golden 32/mcbee 8
SG: richardson 25/mcrae 15
SF: tatum 30/maymon 10
PF: stokes 30/maymon 10
C: maymon 10/hall 30

i dont know how itd work but its interesting...thought?
