i would think so... sounds like the opportunity to play alongside his brother was as much a factor as anything else..

This thread is pointless. Fulmer isn't going anywhere.

Unfortunately.
Why because he landed a three star prospect. That rivals had listed at number 56 best reciever prospect in the nation. This thread is about wilks not fulmer. I bet he turns into a db upon stepping on campus.

Will there be a puff of smoke when that happens?

just my perspective, but to get a kid from Tenn. who was considering other schools including florida, after the butt whipping we received on saturday...it is good news in my book. hell if he can play db, that is just an added bonus. so many people on this board talk, with admiration, about urban legends landing athletes then playing them wherever, well maybe that is what is needed here too. thanks mr. wilks hope you love being a Vol as much as I love the Vols!:good!:

I heard him on the radio yesterday. He was asked what the Florida game did in his decision making process. Said it really had no affect. He was also asked about Marsalous and his pistol toy incident. I was really impressed with the way he carried himself and answered some of the questions. He seemed to be a pretty level headed kid. For the few moments he was on the air, I began to feel good about the future of the program if we can bring guys in like this.

Ummm, carter, Wilkes is probably a better safety than WR anyways and could player earlier at safety. He has great playmaking ability at WR, but can shut down half the field at DB.

This kids a star in HS. All he needs is an older mentor to look up to and learn from. Oh thats right, his brother is currently a starter at UT. Some of you posters can't see the forest through the trees.

He might. If not, he is underrated. Have you seen his films? Great playmaking ability on both sides of the ball. The Rivals crew rates him low because of some supposed measurements he had at a combine last year. They said he was like 5'10" 175 and ran a 4.65 40. He was measured at a combine earlier this year and was like 6'2" 210 with a 4.45 40.

I heard that too. Sounded like a young man with a good head on his shoulders. I think that of all our recruits thus far he may be the one thats a little underrated.

conclusion:

The first set of data was got when Rod was still in middle school.:) Still remember we were talking about his listed 27 inches vertical...

But now, he is a stud
