That is awesome! J. Dobbs showing support like he did automatically moved him into my personal Mt. Rushmore of Vols. Tragedies like this really put things in perspective and should remind us all about the more important things in life: family and community.

Unless I heard incorrectly Dolly Parton has pledged $1,000. per month per family affected to help them get back on their feet.

Some lost their home, some lost their business and some lost their jobs.

Last I heard there was 11 dead and over 75 injured.

Please keep everyone in your prayers and do what you can to help people.

This is correct for 6 months.

Sevier county residents ask that if anyone is donating money to the Dolly Parton fund NOT the red cross

I have friends there now..They have said how terrible it is and scared everyone is..They were lucky to get out alive as so many others did not...They need our prayers and our help however we can..May God bless OLD SMOKEY and make it stronger and better than ever....VFL GBO

Deaths up to 13 now. Tragic! Heartbroken for the man looking for his wife and 2 daughters ..... May he find them safe and sound. Prayers for all.

The wind that night being so strong that night with minimal rain was a recipe for disaster. What a horrific night.

Reports are that the man's wife and children were found and they didn't make it.

Total devastation, completely indescribable with words. The only way I could describe it is it looks like a war zone.

The helpless feeling you get when you see the hurt and lost look in those folks eyes is just overwhelming.

They need continued prayers for all. It especially those who literally lost it all. Losing your home and belongings is 1 thing but there is so many that have lost homes, belongings and on top of that they've also lost family members. You can replace a home and belongings but that family isn't coming back and it's just sad. I couldn't even imagine the feelings they're experiencing!

I pray God just wraps his arms around that whole community and pours out his calming reassurance to those poor folks. As awful as it is and as hard as it is to see those poor people suffer, you just gotta try to remember God is in control and he has this and he will get them thru it.

And I for 1am guilty of coming here the past week or so and just fussing and complaining over this and that with my fellow Vol fans and I may have even showed my butt a couple of times. If I offended anybody I wanna apologize. I've known it forever, but this truly puts things in perspective. Our Volball is great and I love it, but there is more important things in life.

Also pray for those in Athens who suffered the tornado damage. Can't forget any of our volunteer family!!

God bless the smokey mountains and God bless Tennessee.......

I think I saw a video of Dobbs and a couple of others playing dodgeball with some kids - fine young men our Vols are.
