saw the Black Keys and Blink 182 at Shaky Knees last week. they were really good. Johnny Marr came up and played with the Black Keys for a bit, that was cool to see because I missed his performance earlier in the day.

I love many rock and heavy metal groups. Mostly the classics like Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Boston, and Def Leppard. But here is my all-time favorite rock/heavy metal band.

I'm not a big Blink fan but was offered tickets to see them at Rupp Arena last year. My favorite part of the concert was DeLonge kept trolling the crowd by saying things like "You guys sure are great here in Tennessee!" He did about 3-4 of those.

they were very much themselves in the show. lots of digging at each other. down here in atlanta they were dogging on the nashville crowd too. I figured it was supposed to play off some "rivalry" that has never existed in reality just to get the crowd going.

Foo Fighters Cincinnati
Def Leppard, Journey, Steve Miller Band Nashville last year
Sammy Hagar and the Circle wit Joe Satriani at GEC Nashville last year.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Knoxville Wed Nov 19. Awesome show with some old school Savatage Members. I'll be there as this is an ongoing 20 year family tradition

I was on Facebook today looking at the Facebook page of my local animal shelter and they were promoting a drug for adoption...... The song they used stopped me in my tracks as soon as I heard it. "Eye in the sky"

Hadn't thought about that song in 25+years immediately added it to my playlist. Lyrics are haunting, music entrancing.

But then I went down the rabbit hole. I get it, it's concept albums but those albums are good/great. How come more people aren't into The Alan Parsons Project...... Multiple solid albums!

And a piece of my childhood reclaimed.
