They knew Simms was staring down the reciever he was going to throw to. I ssaw receivers open the whole game and Simms payed them no attention, so Oregon started blitzing because they know it's alot harder to get one receiver open and throw it to him than it Is to just find the open man. So by Oregon blitzing, Simms didn't have enough time get the ball to the one receiver he was staring down. Sorry if that's hard to understand.

I toatally understand what you are saying I told my friend next to me during the game that Simms was going to his first read every time and two plays later the pick six happened... Good observation my man

Simms is a huge problem right now. He does not look at all his options. Many times last night he was locked onto one guy and never looked at the others. I saw Stocker open 3-4 times in the middle and he never once looked towards him. On deep balls he just throws it up and prays.

Simms has no third or fourth option he has the guy who he plans on throwing it to out of the huddle. Luke Stocker should have had a Heisman type performance he was so open but yet he did not... HMMMH I WONDER WHY

In the first half Poole got the ball, they abandoned the running game after that.

They had to they were bringin 7 and 8 in the box for the blitz. They were begging UT to throw the ball. and wen we did it was an epic fail

I wouldn't say he's garbage but he's not even average. I won't bash any player and I don't get why people say put bray in. Bray is not the better qb. The play calling was obvious and I knew when we were running or passing and Oregon did too. I would like too see more shotgun and draws from the shotgun. When we ran the I formation it was either (for a passing play) denarius or zach doing a curl or a quick out. The TE's ran drags and slants the whole time amd it was just too predictable. Hunter didn't get the ball enough and they ran the same lay twice to him. We had better runs when Gooch was playing at center. It seems to me that the offense is either hiding something or just doesn't have trust in Simms. I don't expect to score any points next week on offense of the play calling and Simms tendencies stay the same.

I am not saying put Bray in, he's nowhere near ready....I'm just saying Simms is a BELOW average QB at best...

He ran the ball as many times in the 3rd quarter as he did in the first quarter.

That's weird because it seemed like we passed the ball waaaaayyy more times in the second half than we did in the first half.

I believe it was mentioned that the coaches tried to add more plays in practice but the young guys couldn't "get it".I believe that is why they are running similar plays a lot.

It's all good....we have no real answer at QB right now.....unless Simms improves (which I don't see happening) it's going to be a long season
