In all reality, we where outplayed last night. I felt like we had a good game plan our players did not execute.

Crompton played terrible. lets not right him off though. Its hard to go out to the west coast and win against any team.

Lets wait till UAB to call for fulmers head if we are too lose to UAB ill defiantly be calling for it. As of right now it could have been a lot lot worse. Our D looks respectable for the most part. Remember this is the first game.

Let the coaches go in and make the adjustments over the next two weeks and see where we go from there

This has only been said 1000 times this morning.

We were outcoached by a team with less talent. How can that not wake someone up? I am a former, what do you guys call it, Fulmerite. I am no longer one.

Give me a damn break. A win over UAB says nothing about Fulmer's ability to coach. Take your sub-mediocre standards and choke on them.

My thoughts (for what they are worth):

1. Crompton looked completely unprepared.

2. Your oline got dominated.

3. Your skill players on offense looked slow.

1 and 2 might be fixable, but certainly disturbing considering the many months to prepare and the new OC and the challenge that gives to UCLA's DC. 3 needs to be fixed through recruiting.

Not trying to pile on guys. I was rooting for you.

Just think, in ten more years we might be good????

Gerald Jones made the entire UCLA defense look like fools every time he touched the ball.

I agree, what does beating UAB at home prove? That Fulmer can beat teams that UT grossly overmatches?

This is the same kind of crap that has lead to where we are. How many years did we have to watch UT get beat by the big boys of the SEC, only to watch UT beat up the usually inferior November teams and have everyone act like everything was "fixed" (think 2002) only then to be embarassed in a bowl game.

I don't give much kudos to beating UAB, Northern Illinois, or Wyoming. No offense to those teams, but if we're losing to those teams at home, then obvioulsy something is wrong (unless one of those teams is the non-BCS team of the year ala Boise St./Utah/Hawaii). I judge Fulmer against the big boys we supposedly are competing with...Georgia, Florida, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama, and to an extent South Carolina.

And again no offense, but when Kentucky and Vandy start becoming tough wins year after year, then UT has slid.

I was hoping for great things from the Clawson led offense. The lack of a lot of points scored in the fall scrimmages should have been indicative but I like my kool-aid in August.

The offense looked totally unprepared. I don't understand how the O-line could degrade so much on pass protection in a few months time. Everything else seemed to be a ripple of that root cause.

I lay this entirely on the coaches.

The way we played was pitiful.... what did they do at practices before the first game? Sorry but they had a few good plays but were sloppy, too many unnecessary penalties and seemed to be struggling...
I hope this isn't the case when we play Fl, GA, Al or else we're going to continue to be the laughing stock and hey, espn will hate us more.... they so suck ...

The reality is we sucked big time and will continue to suck as long as coaching staff stays the same...

We sucked.......bad.....plain and simple. UCLA isn't a horrible team. I bet they suprise more people than you might think. Their defense is pretty "darn" good.

The O-line was built up in the preseason because we only gave up 4 sacks last year. But in reality the reason for the low sack totals was cutcliffe offense and Ainge throwing the ball away. Ainge ran for his life alot last year. This line is far from dominating line it was built up to be.

We may be in for a tough year. We will see after Sept. I am not going to jump ship yet though. Last nights loss was embarssing to me so I would hope it would at least be just as embarssing to the Players and the Coaching staff. But a Florida win could change the mood quick around here. We have a chance. Granted, It is small. But lets wait at least till SEC games start before giving up on the season. We never play well on the West Coast.
