He has to learn to use his legs. At this point that has to be the only reason he starts over Chryst. To me, their arms are comparable.

The O line is crap. That’s a given. It’s taken him almost 2 years to figure this out and I’m losing my patience.

I just wonder if Helton talks to him about scrambling in their meetings because he looks like a statue back there.

So many issues, easy to focus on any aspect. Here's one... JG took a big hit on that flea flicker, Banks tossed it back to JG and the did not block the rusher... he had it but did not block him. Instead he ran out like he was the target of the pass. And he ended up downfield where Palmer caught the pass. Typical example of not understanding your role in the play.

He is the least mobile QB in the SEC and its not close. He might be the least mobile QB in all of P5. Starters, of course. INEXCUSABLE not to at least try Chryst a series or two in the second half to create a spark. Except to protect someone’s feelings.

But hey, JG is tough tho.

(Edited to remove Jesus’ cousin, Ty Christ, and the good people of Crete)

KC ain't playing barring a severe injury to JG. Might as well get that out of your heads.

Last week JG had some type of shoulder/rib injury and looked like he could barely throw it 5 yards and still started. KC ain't seeing the field the rest of the year.

Beat me too it.

Christ is probably too busy, plus he is too old to play college ball I would think.

BS there is no way JG is a locker room leader. JG is as mediocre to awful as the offensive line is.

Coach has said it more than once.
Take it up with him.

I have no idea who the better QB is as I don’t watch practice. What other reasons could there be for JG playing? It’s either that or CJP thinks he’s the better option

Sure don't... there is no fix I see, and I do not agree JG is the leader of anything associated with the game on the field. What he does in the locker room is unknown to me.

Let me help you out. He is not telling the truth. Chryst is Helton;s guy and Pruitt doesn't like Helton therefore you are not going to see Chryst. If Chryst comes in and does well, which he will, then Pruitt looks bad for not having played him earlier.

what in the absolute hell did he do deserve any warranted criticism? Seriously flatter me. We had 24 rushing yards against the mighty Charlotte 49ers. There is no way around it other then our offensive line is pathetically soft and has no heart

We desperately need someone who can scramble.

Scramble yes but just take that nuance step away from the rush to give you that extra 10th of second the way the slow QB's do like Peyton etc.. JG has good numbers % wise but he came in as a top dual threat QB and he stands back there like a statue and throws and gets battered. I would think his parents or a coach or someone has to be telling him to move some in the pocket but he just gets battered more than any QB Ive ever seen at UT except maybe Matt Simms. Even Worely just had 6 sacks in 5 games last year where JG had 26. He has great numbers % wise but that don't win games, somethings not clicking.

Uuuuhhhhhhh
No
Pruitt wants to win.
Believing the back up is the best ever is something I got over years ago. Tennessee has taught me that the backup is usually the backup for a reason.

I don’t know who the better qb is but I’m positive that CJP is going with JG.

Also everyone that was dinged got protected tonight and not played or was used sparringly. Everyone knows JG is beat up as much or more than anyone else. Why did he even play today if everyone else was protected but he wasn't ? Do they not care about JG's health?
