The Pruitt Effect

We simply don't yet know what "The Pruitt Effect" is.

It's going to be something. Every head coach has an effect. And we're all hoping it's gonna be something really good when it comes to Jeremy.

But we just can't yet know.

Wait, out.

It is going to be really interesting to see for sure. Having never been a head coach, there is no way to know anything for sure. If he is as good at gameday as he has been with everything else, then we are in for a treat.

Not to be rude but about 40 teams would have been undefeated in regular season with CFU schedule but your point is well taken.
Sorry for the late response. Central Florida beat Memphis twice whom I do not think Tennessee could have beat at all and they beat Georgia Tech easily whom Tennessee beat in double overtime. But none of this matters, we will probably not beat Auburn this year and they beat Auburn in a New Year's six Bowl last year. They are a group 5 conference school who had no business being in a New Year's six bowl at all. They handled plenty of competition even if they're not in the SEC. If Tennessee beats Auburn this season it would be a signature win for Coach Pruitt. I believe we are in an era where the right coach with the right system Beats an extra two years of experience. I think coach Pruitt needs to do that this year.

To the OP's point, Pruitt has the *potential* to let defense be the difference maker that means not having to have a game-changer at QB. An exceptional defense really can mean you don't have to be exceptional at all under center. Much as I hate to use a rival for an example, just look at Jay Barker. In 1992 he averaged, get this, 134 yards a game, while completing 54% of his passes with 7 TDs vs 9 INTs. All Alabama did was run the table that year behind a ridiculous defense and a solid run game.
