So I was wondering last night why the Pride does not open the 'T' into the Power 'T' look now, instead of the traditional 'straight line' T.

Couldn't be that hard to do. Heck they march down the field in power T formation.

Clearly I've missed something. Been brought up before I guess...
I'm not real sure what you are asking but I think it's the wide berth that the football team requires. Even as far out as it moves it still probably wouldn't give much room. Also the "T" would only make it to about the 25 yard line.

Even if it were formed single file, like the current T?
I just mean the shape, not the dense formation they go down the field in...

make sense? maybe not....

Vader told them to do a V but when the players ran out he was a little unclear on where they would go.

Most people think I am a druggie and I've never tried drugs in my life. Well maybe a little alcohol.

OK, maybe a lot of alcohol.

One thing is for sure...to do the Power T in single line would require them to...WORK LIKE HECK!!!...:)

First off, let me qualify these statements I'm about to make by saying I was in a marching band for 5 years and I work with a high school drumline now...(not that you guys needed to know that)

I believe mainly that 1. It's hard to get back into the power T because during pregame before the football team comes onto the field, the pride marches down into a couple of straight, squished together lines..then they come back out into the T...
This way, the football team comes out of the tunnel, and turns left..

2. There were recently some NCAA rules that stated that a marching band couldnt take up a certain amount of the field or something like that..Im not sure... but whatever this rule is, it may have something to do with it

Hope this makes a little sense....its mostly speculation.
Im tired so this may not make as much sense tomorrow when I read it again......g'night!

I always assumed it meant he was in the band from 92-96.
