The Playcalling tonight

We HOPE it was a vanilla book. But even if we agree to that thought:
Our O line was porous,
Tackling was poor,
Special teams were below expectations,
Our running QB was sacked twice,
Our defense had zero sacks and 1 turnover.

Those things aren't due to vanilla playbook.

I agree with your assessment, all spot on, imo. However, UT's 18 completions (2 didn't count because of penalties) went for 9, 5, 12, 16, 0, 5, 4, 9 (Penalty), 6, 11, 7, 13, 14, 67 TD, 7 (Penalty), 3, 9, and 11 yards. The design of the passing game is predominately a ball control, short passing game. Unfortunately, we only complete 55-60% of these short passes, instead of 65-70 percent that an effective short passing game team does. It's not particularly fun to watch for me personally.

It was garbage. It's like Debord just planned we'd be up 35 in the second half and did almost NOTHING to adjust when we weren't. The one and only time we didn't run something boring and predictable we scored a 67 yard TD. I was more pissed off at Debord than anyone tonight, and there were quite a handful of people I was pissed off at.

I agree. We should've taken advantage of the match-ups. I guess DeBord thought we had an advantage everywhere I wasn't exploiting anything.
