It wasn't the 2 sacks at the very end or Foster's TD dive. It was Ainge shoving Simeon Castille out at the 8 yard line after he threw his 2nd pick. That turned out to be the difference in the game.

Just imagine how bad Ainge would have played if he threw 3 picks in a game last season. Just shows you how much progress he has made even in the midst of his worst game this season.

I agree with you 100%. That was a 4 point play.

Ainge had a rough outing, but you could really see the that he has matured.

I wouldn't say any plays really stood out as the PotG. I think it was just a spit-decision thing, and they decided to pick the game-changing play.

Definitely Ainge shoving the dude out of bounds on the INT return. Huge.

Very proud of Ainge's effort today, all things considered. Great winning drive at the end.

Good point, that was a big play at the time, and even bigger in retrospect.

And I agree, Ainge fought through the adversity and helped us to the victory in the end.

That's just it... was far form his best game, and he still had 300 yards.

Of course that'll happen when you throw it 45 times and run it less than 20 times.

Ainge had a good game considering how one-dimensional our offense was today. We totally depended on the pass, he still completed 60% of his passes for 301 yards, not bad. Not great maybe, but good enough to win.

Not necessarily. We would have gone for two after our TD to tie it. Also, how about the way our defense played after that Ainge tackle. It was 1st and goal from the 8 and we held them. The defense deserves a pat on the back.

the play of the game was stopping Alabama on 3rd down after Ainge shoved him out of bounds. It forced the FG.

It was also telling to listen to Ainge's post-game interview about that exact play "I wasn't thinking, just trying to sprint as fast as I could, I bet it didn't look too good, but it got the job done. Really that should have never happened. I should have hit Bret Smith, he was wide open."

Yet again, Ainge owning up to the mistake. EA of a year ago would have NEVER admitted to screwing that up. :hi: Hats off Erik! I'm glad you're growing up.

I couldn't believe that Ainge was able to catch the guy myself. He's got a little speed.

He's no speed demon, but he really did hit the jets to get the angle on that guy. If I remember correctly, he surprisingly actually ran something like a 4.7 in high school, so he's a little faster than you think.

He definitely took the right angle, at one point I thought he was planning on meeting him in the corner of the endzone..
