For those who like to read about football I recommend "The Perfect Pass".

Although it primarily features Hal Mumme it's about the evolution of the passing game that includes Heupel's offense. References many coaches you know and some you never heard of. Well written, educational and entertaining.

Any mention of Rusty Russell?

No, it was just about coaches of the recent past...maybe the past 30-40 years. Quite a lot about Mike Leach which was both informative and entertaining as one would expect.

I truly think any college football fan would enjoy the book. Easy, relatively short and fun reading. Well written.

Sounds good, I'll try to get it. Russell was considered the father of the spread offense. Check out the film "The 12 mighty Orphans"

I should say I don't remember Rusty Russell being mentioned. Could have been but I don't remember the reference.
