That's one of the most preposterous articles i've ever read. I agree that UT fans should have some concern about Pearl leaving for a job like Duke or North Carolina. To suggest that Pearl would be a good fit in the NBA is ridiculous. His style of play and attitude/energy is the ANTITHESIS of an NBA job. He would be one of the worst suited candidates in college basketball today for an NBA job.

FWIW, Pitino ran into problems with the Celtics, not the Knicks. He won a playoff series with the Knicks.

I love Pearl and hope he never leaves, but if he wants to go to the NBA (or anywhere else) one day there's nothing we can do to stop it. I feel confident UT will put up a significant amount of money and do everything they can monetarily to keep him.

As for now, I'm not worrying about it. We've got a GREAT team on our hands here!! Cherish ...

Agreed. We probably get ahead of ourselves here being worried that Pearl might leave or how far we'll get in the tournament. We're all excited, and that's great, and we shouldn't let anything else get in the way of that enthusiasm. Pearl's doing wonders for our program and the fans, regardless of how long he stays, and we should appreciate it while we have it and not worry about anything else in the distant future.

FWIW, I think he wants to stay in Knoxville for quite some time.

Not to mention the amount of $$ he's helped raise to completely refurbish the basketball facilities there. He's invested for at least a couple more years.

actually, i thought it was a good article, well, except for the part where he referred the the "charlotte hornets". ever hear of editing? wow.

but, in light of that, the article was fairly honest in that it was conjecture and speculation, and like any good consipiracy theory, there are enough dots in place to make a line to come up with a conclusion....o/t that, that's all it is......

plus, it's not like it didnt' paint a great picture of what he has been able to do so far at TN......
