I am a season ticket holder for UW hoops. Washington has been really odd this year. They way they played last week against Stanford and Cal, they looked like they could play with anybody. The moment that they hit the road, they are awful. I think that by the time the tourney comes around, they could have it all together, but so far it's been flashes of brilliance, sandwiched between mediocrity.

It's a dramatically down year for the pac10, but calling it a disgrace or bereft of any good team is lame ESPN-type hyperbole. It doesn't take but a few viewings of sendek's team and flashes of Cal to see that there are at least 2 good squads in the conference easily worth a bid by season's end. Whether either can make it past the first weekend seems more unlikely than likely, but still.

The rest of the conference? a collection of youth and its attendant inconsistency and flash.
