I am in the Pacific NW so apologize for starting a new thread, however what is driving the majority of the anger regarding Currie/Schiano?

1. Schiano's Penn St history - I get it, protest on!

2. Currie's incompetence and not knowing anything about Schiano's past - I get it!

3. Disappointed in the hire because Schiano was a .500 coach at Rutgers and not great it the NFL - IT IS DELUSIONAL TO THINK WE ARE GOING TO GET ANYTHING BETTER (X's and O's wise) AND ARE MAKING IT WORSE THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS!

How’s about all 3?

Oh and it looks like Greg was Currie's guy the entire time. Let that sink in. Currie looked at Schiano and said "To hell with everyone else. This is the best possible hire for Tennessee."

But we offered Kelly and Mullen correct?

I think Haslam pulled the strings and it blew up. One man doing another a good ole Ohio favor. Kaboom!

You're never going to know. It would be good to know if they ran straight to Schiano.

Currie is Jimmys puppet and Jimmy wanted Greg hired. I think it's that simple. This s**tstorm was brought to us by Jimmy Haslem. He has ruined the Browns and the Vols. The Volnation and the Dog Pound deserve better. He is living proof that money doesn't equals brains.

The hat-trick.

And you might throw in that the fact that we Rocky Top hillbillies never pass up a good chance to raise a little hell. I'ts in our DNA you might say.

He had enough brains to somehow avoid going to jail for running a criminal enterprise with that rebate fraud. We would probably be better off if he had gone to jail. I don't think Blackburn would have had Schiano as his main guy.

In my opinion if we was gonna hire another butch Jones why didn't we just keep the orginal???

Exactly. If we aren't going to improve our odds to win than why pay his buyout, hire a new coach (spending more money to do so), and still be at the same odds (possibly worse!) to win. Makes literally zero sense. ZERO!!

Might as well kept Butch and not paid his buyout if his replacement is no better/worse than him!! I'm so blown away that people don't realize this.
