The only thing stopping that last play would have been our defense tackling that receiver and taking a PI call. It hurts but it was an excellent play by Florida.

We likely would have won in overtime, imo.

Or, you know..., playing actual defense.

Eta: Our safeties weren't even close enough to tackle the receiver to get a pass interference call.

Or getting pressure on the quarterback. I still believe we should have blitzed one player.

You honestly don't know anything about defensive football, at all....

Playing a 3 deep prevent zone would've put a "center-fielder" Safety in the middle of the field whose only responsibility is to stay deeper than any receiver on the field and defend the throw into the middle of the field...

Quarters underneath would've stopped shorter passes in the FG yardage range.....

You have all of the 3 deep DBs 20 yards off the ball at the snap....and then watch for what comes into their zones...

It's so simple that even Junior High football teams run it....

Maybe one day we will see that elite defense weve been hearing about.

I guess we are being vanilla so UGA doesnt figure us out.
