So Jimmy is sitting up in Cleveland down the road from OSU. Tries to hire Schiano. Last hire was Butch from Cincinnati.. Is there a connection here? I mean there are other football coaches and many other states. Now Currie released a statement calling it "THE Ohio State"! Are you kidding me.Has Jimmy become a Ohio Homer..or visiting these coaches in that state and getting close to the programs?

It's likely not coincidence. I felt like the Butch Jones hire was left field at that time also. Many other options at that time.

Well Ohio has produced some serious national champions:

Urban Meyer - 3 titles
Nick Saban - 5 titles
Les Miles - 1 title
Jim Tressel - 1 title

Maybe they think Ohio produces good coaching candidates?

Tennessee has produced a decent list too. Per capita, we kick Ohio's arse.

The question I have to ask is who told ESPN Currie was in Columbus on Sunday, and why when nothing has been heard of Schiano, he emerges as a top target on Saturday? What happened to the cone of silence Currie had going on since he fired Butch? AND the entire fan base is also informed of that Washington Post article on Saturday? Just enough time to get the entire state worked into a rage?

There is plenty happening, but none of it is coincidence.

I think this is a huge stretch! Furthermore, don't you have something better to do with your time than try and come up with conspiracy theories? :)

AtlantaVol says he was messaged by someone in the OSU AD, when our AD was on site doing the treasonous deal. Not sure why the silence would be so controlled by OSU. Just presuming that is why the leak took place then.

There is a rumor out there than an Assistant AD told Currie not to make this deal, and Currie went with it anyway and when Currie was in the air it was this Assoc AD who leaked it to Wolken to get the fans in an uproar because this Assoc AD knew this would happen and had to find a way to stop it.

There was also a rumor that someone in the department, waited till Currie was wheels up and then started making calls to stop the hire.

From Trey wallace twitter yesterday. Looks like the assistant AD sounded the whistle while Currie was in the air.
