CAL will rated in the Top Ten at the beginning of the season.....right?
After last season? Most likely not. I'd give them a decent chance of finishing the season Top 25, though.

Score VOLS 21 Bears 17.

Jonathon Crompton leads the team to victory with a late touchdown pass. Foster will get 130 on the ground and Hardesty will add another 75.

Cal was 7-4 last year. We better be more prepared this year for the opening game compared to last years UAB game. :banghead:

Of course they will. Who else is there to pad USC rankings?

Time is a tickin'. Great bball ride is over for men. Counting days again until Cal gameday. Can't wait to see how the Orange - White plays out. Time to sit and wait and read the 1000 football threads between now and September. Keep 'em coming.

acording to college football news we are going are a top 10 team THIS year

I can guarantee you UT will not be ranked in the top 10 in either poll at the begining of the season. I have my doubts UT will be in the 25. UT lost over half the starters on both offense and defense from a team that went 5-6. I saw the article in college football news, but the polls wont be so generous. UT burned them pretty bad last year when they had UT in the top 5.

i don't think we should be ranked at all pre season. we have nothing to show for last season, and i can not think of any reason, other than "we're Tennessee", why we should be ranked. if we are it's on name value alone, and that's not right.

having said all that....good jump on things Volunteer. can't wait. it'll be interesting to see if this thread makes it 'til September!!!! :biggrin2:

Are they still going to sell those nacho/taco-in-a-bowl things at Neyland? My girlfriend wouldn't let me buy one last year but this year I'm gonna lay down the law.
