He doesn't seem to have mastered the block. Surprised they cut him after 1 preseason game though. I thought he would get one more game. Blocking is not something a QB does a lot of, esp in today's NFL. Old dog, new tricks.

I'm not, because I think even Meyer knew this was way more publicity stunt than actual tryout. I think letting him play 1 preseason game was almost like a token appearance because Meyer knew he had to let him dress out at least once. They've likely known for a while he had a zero shot at making the team.

Urban's whole approach to the NFL seems eerily familiar to Spurriers. I don't see Urban lasting more than two seasons. He is not going to like losing and it will take a toll.

I'm reading several reports that his style isn't going over well with the team; it sounds like he runs practices like college practices and that's been a big turnoff.

Same here. His initial strength and conditioning coach hire was a bad move. The Tebow invite to camp. A couple of other examples of questionable decisions.
