Tennessee leads the NCAA in kickoff return average (40.4). Evan Berry is the nation's top kickoff returner with an average of 42.6.

Berry is the only player the nation with three kickoff returns for touchdown (vs. Western Carolina, Arkansas and Kentucky) His 36.5 career kickoff return average is No. 1 in UT history. With three kickoff return touchdowns, Berry has tied Willie Gault's 1980 Tennessee record for most kickoff returns for scores in a season.

Cameron Sutton is third in the NCAA punt return average (20.2).

After not accomplishing the feat of having a kickoff return and punt return for TD in the same game since 1950, UT has done it twice this season (vs. WCU and at Kentucky).

The Vols have a modern program history record five special teams touchdowns (three kickoff-return TDs, two punt-return TDs).

Trevor Daniel is fifth in the NCAA and second in the SEC in punting average at 46.5. Of Daniel's 39 punts, 15 went 50-plus yards and 14 have landed inside the 20-yard line.

n UT's four wins this season, the Vols have averaged 51.0 points scored and 23.0 points allowed.

In Joshua Dobbs' last 14 starts, the Vols are 9-5, averaging 35.8 points and 426 yards per game.

Led by Jalen Hurd (90.6 yards per game), UT is second in rushing yards per game in the SEC (214.1) with five games of 200-plus yards.

The Vols scored on eight consecutive drives at Kentucky, rallying from a 14-10 deficit with 5:39 left in the second quarter to take a 52-21 lead with 5:29 left in the third (outscoring UK, 42-7 over 15:10).

Dobbs became the first Vol to have a 300-yard passing game (301) and 100-yard rushing game (166) in last season's comeback win at South Carolina. He's just the third in the SEC to have such a game over the last 20 years (joining Tim Tebow and Johnny Manziel).

The Vols have played 40 true freshmen over the last two seasons (nation-high 23 in 2014 and 17 in 2015) for the most of any program over the last two years.

• Tennessee has won 15 of 17 all-time meetings against South Carolina in Knoxville.

• In 2013, Michael Palardy kicked the game-winning 19-yard FG as time expired to give UT the win.

• Since 2000, no matchup in the SEC has been closer than UT-USC, with an average margin of victory of 7.87. (min. 10 games).

• In the last 13 UT-SC meetings since 2002, the game has been within a touchdown in fourth quarter nine times and has gone to overtime three times (2002, 2007, 2014).

From NOAA site just now -- SaturdayShowers, mainly before 2pm. Temperature falling to around 55 by 2pm. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

It's been raining in Knoxville for over an hour. Pretty hard at times, everyone driving in be safe.
