I don’t feel too good about this one boys.

Bama is one of these teams that are dangerous from the three point line. When they’re on, they can beat anybody in the country.

I think the defense shows up again but falls short of the win.

Bama - 84
UT - 78

It’s wild that Bama was 16-2 in conference and 6-4 out of conference losing to Western KY, Clemson, OU, and Stanford. None of those are horrible teams but they lost to a mediocre Stanford team by about 20. You could say that maybe they just started slow and come on except you have that OU loss in there from January. The SEC usually does pretty well in the big dance but I don’t think so this year. No SEC teams will be in the E8 and I say only 1 in the S16, either us or Bama, depending on the draw.

We are going to have to play our best game of the season, limit our turnovers, make free-throws, stop their dribble drive, and rebound
GO VOLS!

Team so hard to guard you have to guard the three real close and they can also drive to the basket. I think we have to play as well as we've played all season to win today.

I think it will be a good game. No Fulk sounds scary, but we handled Florida with relative ease without him. Bama is much better. They handled us pretty well in the paint, and obviously they're a good 3pt team, so I feel like our usual defensive scheme is a bad match up. Barnes made very effective adjustments for yesterday's game, so maybe he's got a trick up his sleeve.

Not to oversimplify, but it really comes down to defending and hitting shots imo. I think we can have the edge in other facets, but those two specific points are what will decide if we win or not imo.

Gonna have to stay on Petty, I wonder who Barnes puts on him? He always has his best games against us, I expect 25+ from him
