Mayo Boy got his walking papers. As predicted, nobody was willing to give up anything for him.

Going into year two with basic mechanic defects isn't an in game issue. Mechanics are effected in the off-season through repeated training in good habits and out bad habits/tendencies......and muscle memory.

I think having a new coach/new system is much more to blame for these bad habits than the o line. In fact I think the coach/staff bears as much blame as Cam as this isn't a new issue and should have been addressed by the new staff.......assuming they haven't tried.

As for the line I'd say it's a compounding problem.........but the o line isn't to blame when Cam can't complete an easy quick out because his feet are pointing in the wrong direction. It's these kind of mistakes/missed opportunities that create more pressure for the line and Cam. Cam improves it relieves pressure on the line, the line improves it relieves pressure on Cam.

I've gotta say, I am not encouraged by the new staff and their roster decisions this off-season. The offense under Daboll this pre-season has looked even worse than the offense under Callahan. Obviously it's preseason, so you can't breathe too much into it, but it certainly is not making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I still can't help but feel like Mike McDaniel was the better choice as HC for this team. Regardless what our record might have been with McDaniel, I think he was the best person to work with Cam and get him playing like a franchise QB. If Cam doesn't develop, the coach is getting fired anyways, so imo, we should have gone with the head coach most likely to develop Cam.

I changed my Avatar this September to a very awesome and captivating Titans themed action photo that has Ward with him shown using the common throwing action, and Dike with strong blue lighting visible while holding the football.
